Just got finished watching this movie ("Just A Kiss")
and omg so crackified and random and goodgoodgood ! I am so madly in love with Marley Shelton's character dksjfksljfd !!! She's kind of Luna-ish only more screwed up. Like Cassie.

Anyway, I got out of jury duty early but I have to go back tomorrow morning.

Also, Kat and I randomly wound up seeing Milo Ventimiglia speak at a panel on Saturday and oh he is so darling and down to earth and cool even though his hair no longer does the Peter Petrelli flopsy thing that I so adore :/

I say randomly because neither of us even knew he was going to be at the convention and then I was flipping through the events thing like right before the panel started and was like "OMG! MILO!" and we rushed off.

He was promoting a comic book that he is producing that looks quite interesting about a guy that takes a pill so he never has to sleep and he is still refreshed and I don't really know what it means to produce a comic book but apparently he calls people at 4 A.M. with ideas about plots even though he's not the writer.

Also he's a vegetarian and his dad is a vegetarian and he made a joke about the size of his...um....which made me curious haha

Someone has all the Luna scenes up and I was watching them earlier and OMG baby thestral!!!!! I forgot about the total cuteness of baby thestral!!!!! Whyyyyyyy can't I have one??? They are totally my favorite creatures in Potterverse.

I've been threatening to write a BTVS/HP crossover with a Dawn/Luna ship because I love the idea but I can't seem to get started...except in my head Luna is all fascinated by Dawn's California stories and she's like "tell me the one about the bezoar again!" and "tell me about the quellor demon" and then Dawn finds her notebook and she's been writing like "blah blah blah indigenous to Sunnydale" about all the demons and stuff, taking notes and Dawn is all awwww! And that's all I got. Except that being around Luna is soothing and she makes Dawn feel special because she's Dawn and not because she's Buffy's sister and not like a freak cuz she's the Key and Luna thinks it's really cool that she's the key actually and it's all aw and fluffy and unporny. Okay maybe a little bit porny later on. I liked the idea from a story Juliet read about Buffy being the new defense against the dark arts teacher but if I use that I'm totally copying. So I have to find a new reason for Buffy and Co. to be there. But perhaps I'll throw in some Buffy/Snape too since Juliet's converted meeee...

All day with Rilo Kiley's "More Adventurous" running through my head and all day reading, reading, reading all kinds of technical jargon for film production and I longed for poetry and rediscovered Adrienne Rich's The Fact Of A Doorframe and tore through the poems savagely underlining and circling and being mesmerized.

Right now, stress is coiling at the base of my spine and slithering around my neck and I don't know why, maybe not stress, maybe nervous energy but whatever I'm drinking Malibu again so it's slipping from my fingers, dripping off them like blooooood. What the fuck am I talking about?

Tonight, in screenwriting, my teacher called me "Fee", which is the name of the main character in my screenplay and I was like "it's Jenna" and she's like "I know. What did I say?"

It was kindof amusing.

I'm now interchangeable with my protagonist apparently :)

Everyone really liked my most recent work except the general consensus was it was very play-like, because it was so dialogue-heavy, although one guy said I had "a true gift for dialogue" which was nice.

Someone else said it seemed a bit like an episode of a teen drama and then was like "but you know a really good one" and I was like haaa I so don't even take that as an insult. I heart my teen dramas!

It's annoying having to squeeze everything into an hour and a half because...things are moving at the speed of life and not at the speed of a movie and I so wish I was writing my own tv show because I love how much more you can develop characters over a season and it's harder to do that in the space of a movie because everything has to move the plot along and I have to cut out pages and pages of dialogue that I really liked because it's all moving too slowly.

Also, I've been sucking at describing the visual aspects of things and that's kindof crucial to screenplays. By sucking I mean I haven't really been doing it.

Someone said it reminded them of "Ghost World" though, which made me happy because I adore that movie.
